Christmas should be a Time of Joy, Giving, Sharing and Blessings. For many South African Educators and Students this is a time of… nothing…
Q: What is on a teacher’s Christmas list?
A: If she is dedicated, committed and in a rural school in South Africa, this will be on her list:
Stationery, paper, used on one side is fine.
Pens, pencils, crayons, wax crayons, markers (used is fine)
Books, text (used) and exercise books
Paper, fabric, cardboard, buttons, bows, ribbons, yarn, and goodies to use for crafts
Glue, paste and water paints
Rulers, erasers, sharpeners
And anything else you would use in a homeschool classroom or regular classroom. Remember, many of these students have nothing – not even a square meal to get them through their day. Help to brighten up their Christmas this year. Please.
We can all make a difference!
